Boston open is now done.
I'm back to normal life without cutting weight...
I'm drinking everyday.
I also went back to Muay Thai/MMA training yesterday.
Today, I wanna introduce one of my Japanese friend in there!!
The gym I'm going to is called
"Sityodtong Muay Thai academy"
I train Muay Thai, MMA, and Wrestling in the place.
My back ground is Karate, basically.
So Muay Thai, the Thai style kick boxing is
a bit more comfortable for me to do.
And that's the reason why I'm focusing on grappling now.
By the way, I train Judo, too in different gym...
But I'd save to talk about it for next time.
In the sityodtong,
There are bunch of pro-fighters.
Some of them are fighting in UFC now.
Sityodtong is the place where
the group of top fighters train together!
And one of them is this guy!
I'm proud to announce his name in my blog!
He's the Japanese guy came from Tokyo as well.
He's been fighting professionally in U.S.A for
many years now!
He used to fight in UFC in 2014.
He had difficult time for his first challenge in UFC, though...
With his unbreakable heart and spirit,
He's still trying to make his come back to UFC!
he fought the Legacy fighting Champion ship in Minnesota.
He fought very well.
As a result,
He won the fight by TKO in first round!!
Tateki is certainly,
one of those people who
live for your dream to come true!!
give your support to him as well!!
This is the result.
I think, last time when I ended up in 3rd,
I think I did well more than I thought I would.
So I was happy.
But this time,
I had a bigger expectation in my mind.
And I've prepared a lot because I was so eager,
But I couldn't get what I wanted in the end,
I'm not happy.
Maybe, both happiness and unhappiness are
all come from your own mind.
It all depends on how you feel...
This is probably the same in the entire life deeds...
You are unhappy because you think you are not satisfied by
only this much while others think it's a great achievement...
In Japanese idiom, it's called
"You bind your self by your own rope."
Feeling happiness is very easy since it all depends on your own,
and it's still very difficult since it all depends on your feeling...
Life is also like...
a long term marathon.
Hu, the historical Boston marathon is happening right now,
so it made me think of this.
Have a nice friends, take it easy, don't be too eager, too be hasted,
enjoy small things everyday.
It maybe the way you live happily...
In fact, I look way happier with my friend Will in this picture . lol
Enjoy nice weather and hangout with friends, people!
I've always tried to keep this website strictly about my music...
But I realized one of a reason I don't update here so often is because
it's hard to find something new to update if this is only about music.
I made up my mind to talk about
my personal things in this blog.
I'll update the blog more often when I have
more staff to show!
I talk about my hobby today!
I train martial arts as a hobby.
I'm putting a lot of energy into it to be honest...
If you know, it's called "MMA", which stands for
"Mixed Martial Arts"
If you guys know "UFC" , it's easy to explain!
It's the thing that two guy fight in a cage with
punch, kicks, throwing, choking, submission... all of them!
I started my martial arts carrier when I was 15 in Japan.
I was a Karate kid (lol), back then!
After 7? 8? years of training, I got a black belt in Karate, then I started MMA training a little bit.
I had to stop for a reason only after several month of training MMA, though.
This is long story...
Then I moved to U.S.A almost 11 years ago....
mm... Time flys fast!
And basically, I started picking it up again a few years ago.
So far I've competed 3 Muay Thai (Thai style kick boxing) in 2014.
That was 2 wins and 1 lost by decision,
1 victory was by TKO (technical knock out)
Not bad... I think
Before Muay Thai fights, I competed in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in 2013.
I competed in organizations "IBJJF" and "NAGA".
Both ended up in 3rd place!
Not bad, too... I think.
By the way, this "NAGA" is nothing to do with my last name nor my email address!
And, my point is...
Time to compete in BJJ came again!
I'm competing in IBJJF Boston Spring Open!
I've cut 20 pounds (about 9.5 kg) for this!
looks good, hu? lol
I've trained a lot for tomorrow with bunch of my nice coaches and partners in
"Boston BJJ" and "Sityodtong Muay Thai Academy"!
Thanks a lot for your partner ships, my friends!!
The place will be UMASS Athletics, 100 Morrissey Blvd.
My division starts noon/afternoon.
Come out if you are free.
The event is open free for anyone to watch.
I'll go all way out tomorrow!!!!!
"Mt. Oe" project has been finished.
Now I need to move on to other staff.
Besides the project, I've been working on my 2nd album
"Ragamantra" is the album which all compositions are written based on Indian classic music theory.
I've already written 4 pieces out of 5 pieces.
Some of them are even recorded.
Here, I can show the one most recently done.
It's called "Mantra."
It's available on Jango.com to listen free!
Mantra is also one of the short piece from "Reincarnation suites."
"Reincarnation suites" is a collection of small pieces that each pieces describe certain age or life stage in human life, and entire suite should be looped as if it "reincarnates" and repeats the cycle again.
I have published "Epitaph/Birth" in previous album and
other piece "Sky Burial" has been on the top page of this website...
it's good to keep yourself busy!!
Now I start updating about my new album!!
Just saying random things...
