This is already the last day of
The dead line for
the writing competiotin is
right around the corner...
Time flys for sure!
I did the test recording of
"The blue shadow"
The tea pot is the nice accent in this photo.
I need tea when I write music or
do whatever my work.
I used to drink a liquor when I write.
People laugh about it.
Now I don't, because...
I don't have money!!!
It's nothing like,
I'm trying to be clean or
I need to be sober when I compose or...
Nothing like that!!!
The reason is so simple, just...
I don't have money to buy
Give me money!!
By the way,
The piece sounded so good.
I still need to practice a little bit, though.
Just a little,
Ju---st a little more way to go!!
I went to
Boston symphony orchestra
It's always good to listen to
great performance of...
Prokofiev (Symphony No.1)
Weinberg (Violin concerto)
Tchaikovsky (Symphony No.4)
The works by...
A couple of Russian composers and
a Jewish Polish composer,
related to Russia
Later 19th to
early 20th century pieces.
It's very good for me 'coz
those pieces are like between
Kind of good match to my concept for my music.
Listening to music in live is always fresh.
I always find new things in
same music I have listened number of times
especially when I listen to them in
It always inspires me
encourages me to write new music!
the stage before the concert began
friends who went together.
Instead of writing,
I'm now practicing
the two pieces
that I wrote for the competition.
the submission due is
less than a month now.
The blue shadow is
pretty close to recorindg.
Altered step is...
a little more until getting that level...
While I didn't mean it,
I wrote very
Refresh my ear and mental
Keep going on my way to get there!!
Happy New Year!
It's been awhile, again.
How have you guys been??
I'm still alive.
There are many things happened...
Let me say happy birthday again to
my friend Maryam Alsalah.
She and her twin sister were born in January 1st
We had a nice party in New Years day.
That was the first good party in 2017.
I'll makle a lot more happen hopefuly.
Now then, about music,
I've been working on a couple new pieces.
One of them is the revision of the "oriental blue"
that I just wrote and orchestrated last year.
I also changed the name to "the blue shadow."
The other one is the "altered step."
I just finished the writing recently.
I'm practicing those two pieces now to record.
Combined them with the one I wrote last year,
I basically completed the whole piece
"Three short pieces for guitar in drop D"
I'll record it and make it available on my youtube channel!
I also need to finish writing for my second album, too.
I'll compose more in 2017 for sure!
I'm also looking for any orchestra who can play my piece
"The moon in the ripple"
that finally published by Matching arts in Netherland...
Please let me know any orchestra if you think they might play it.
Busy Busy busy...
ans=d a lot of thoughts and challenge...
It seems like,
I kick started 2017 awesomely!
It's been awhile.
It's been actually almost 2 month...
I'm such a lazy man to keep SNS staff going....
I don't just come back to say random thing.
I came back with the great news!
I wrote and submitted the orchestra piece to
The Matching Arts
Even though it didn't win the competition,
it was chosen to be published!
It's finally published!!
it kinda took long, but
This is the link to the webpage that you can check it out.
-> Edition Matching Arts, "The moon in the Ripple"
This is ...
Big thing for me!
The biggest thing in 2016!
Now I'm looking for someone to play this piece...
Hard work pays off!!
I have been working on a piece to send it to U.K
It's done now.
The title is
I originally wrote for solo guitar
while I was writing, already expecting to orchestrate it.
in the end,
probably it sounds better in orchestrated version.
This is only a short piece
I did NOT want to spend too much money for recording,
I made up my mind to sequence the piece.
I have been avoiding sequencing
Now I have no choice, I gotta do that.
I had to upgrade Komplete and DP...
it was troublesome a bit.
Some instrument patch isn't great, still.
But I did it, anyways!
I hope he likes it....
I uploaded "The Legend of Mt. Oe Ogres" on
Well, it means
FREE to watch!
I'm hoping it catches attention of more people...
everyone, please come to watch!
Like and Share it!!
So now the tournament is done.
Unfortunately, I didn't get that much help about the donation.
However, entire event was successful,
I think it's all good.
Now I gotta report how it was...
It was only two matches but I won both anyway!
The picture loos ki8nda stupid.
Last time, when I won the good fight tournament ship,
I looked like so serious in the podium.
a friend of the one of opponents made fun of me like,
"This guy look totally exhausted and doesn't even look happy"
So I made up my mind to goof around this time.
And Professor Renan Borges won their division!!
That was awesome, day!
Besides Jiu Jitsu,
Max Barret, of sityodtong
and my friend
William Graustuck from Brazilian To Team
also won their MMA fight!!
I'll share some pics and videos of my two matches here.
Second match was filmed in slow motion accidentally. lol
It was a bit annoying to watch.
But You can see entire thing going on!!
Thanks for Anthony Whitney
to come out and support us!!
Now I'm drinking sakeeee!!
I just figured out I can't upload any videos with the service I have for now. Come visit my Facebook if you'd like to watch.
It's open to everyone. -> Link
As I mentioned a few times before,
I train martial arts as a hobby.
This Saturday, I'm competing in the charity event,
"Tap Cancer Out"
This event is made to sup[port people
fight against cancer.
All profits goes to donation.
this is their webpage and the Facebook page.
When I signed up the competition,
I was also given "my page" to call donation.
Which is this
-> My page of "tap cancer out"
There are people who you can help.
They need your help.
You don't have to, but if you can,
I won't make any benefit out of this.
some proverb says,
"Best way to get a thing is to give something."
When you can do something for somebody,
Let's do together!
There is one more thing happened today...
Earthquake attacked people in Italy and Myanmar (aka Burma).
Both places were seriously damaged
Many people were unfortunately killed.
I have to send my condolences to both place...
Japan is still struggling with the damaged caused by current disasters happened in recent years...
Something is going on inside the earth...
I hope everyone who experienced the tragedy will be alright.
It's been almost a month since last updates.
It's very easy for me to slack updates...
So I have a lot to tell now.
The guitar competition was already finished up.
I made to the third stage and that's all I could get.
Couldn't proceed to semi-final, but
I think it's all good as a piece written in a week or so...
Since then, my business is kinda quiet down...
while it's been so calm, funny thing happened.
I went to Cape with Manny and Brian some Friday.
That was awesome vacation
it was still bit cold and even rained!!
Then I met a guy called Ivan.
He is a professional photographer running
website/facebook page called:
"Portraits of America"
And so we all got interviewed with him and took a few photos.
I talked about a little bit of my life story.
Like how and why I came to U.S.A...
It took a while since we got an interview...
It recently came up on his page, so I'd like to share!
-> website "portraits of america"
-> Facebook page
Sometimes unexpected funny things happened.
Funny things may always happens unexpectedly.
That's probably why it's funny.
It seems like,
I got more people who pay attention to my music.
I'm writing now!
I'm writing a couple new guitar pieces and
orchestrating for a medium size ensemble now.
Those pieces for a corroboration with the sound engineer in U.K!
I'll let you know the details of the project later
when it actually comes to happen.
At the end, I took out "store" page from this website.
I think wasn't really effective for my business.
"Mt. Oe" film was officially registered to U.S copyright office
after several month.
I might just open the film in public soon.
Things are changing but still going!
Enjoy rest of summer days everyone!
This is the first update in July.
How have ya been?
Last week was July 4th week.
Big Big holiday in USA!
But for me, it was the beginning of
the voting for the guitar composition contest.
Voting is made by all participants.
All compositions were divided into 8 groups.
Each groups have 8 pieces including yours.
All applicants give other pieces scores 3 to 10.
You can't give a point to your own compositions.
2 pieces which get least scores in total will be eliminated.
To be honest,
the voting already happened twice.
first stage and second stage were done already.
Today I received a mail and
I proceed to third vote.
If I win this stage, I'll go to the semi final.
quality of the competition is pretty good.
I'm actually surprised I made third stage.
I think, I won't make the semi final
with the piece kinda of unprepared for this competition...
Let's see what happens.
On the other hand,
I got the contract paper from the Edition Matching Arts in Netherland.
Even though I had a little trouble,
I'm in the process to put my orchestral piece in their web shop.
I already signed and retuned the document to them.
Things are going on!
Hey by the way,
I think I'll eliminate the "store" function from this web site
end of this month or next month.
if you think you may download the film or the music,
please do it while I still have the function.
That's all for now.
Talk to you later guys!
I got some update about my music.
I wrote one brand new piece for guitar and roughly recorded.
A guy in Spain found me on internet and had contacted to me.
He basically organize a competiotn on internet.
He encouraged me to participate his competition about
Solo Guitar piece.
But problem was....
It's too soon!
he said the deadline is June 30th.
But he told me about that in...
The morning of my birthday!!
I didn't say anything because,
I wasn't sure if I can write, practice and record new piece or not at that moment ...
I wrote brand new piece in a week.
And practice hard so as at least the performance is audible...
roughly recorded yesterday!
The recording isn't the best actually...
But since the time was so intense,
that's the best I could do, I think.
and it's not bad at all!!
Now I finished all submission process.
I'm satisfied now.
One more casual updates.
I got my hair cut.
There is not that much different in my looking.
This is only a man's hair cut.
The woman behind me is my hair stylist
She's from Fukuoka, Japan.
Very funny woman.
She actually refused to get in the picture because
She didn't put any make-up on her.
Come o~n, Fumi.
Don't be shy.
She tried to get out from the frame, so her figure is blurry.
A ninja girl!!
A little laugh in my life and all readers of my blog!
Just saying random things...
